Terms of Employment

Naturally, minimum working conditions must also be observed for contract workers.

Minimum Working Conditions

During the approval process, the Federal Employment Agency verifies that minimum working conditions are met. This specifically includes ensuring the payment of the minimum wage applicable in the respective industry, including overtime supplements and statutory holiday entitlements, as well as the payment of holiday fund contributions (where required).

Furthermore, a wage comparison is conducted: this means that the wage conditions for contract workers must not be less favorable than those for comparable German employees. The Federal Employment Agency uses the calculation of net wages as the basis for this wage comparison. This means that during the application process, the wages actually paid to employees after deducting taxes and social security contributions for their deployment in Germany must be declared.
