Invitation to the Turkey Workshop on Wednesday, October 24, 2007, from 09:00 to approximately 14:00

Confidence in the Turkish business community has further increased following the clear election victory of Prime Minister Erdoğan's party. Further economic growth, a continuation of reform policies, and higher foreign direct investments are expected. The Turkish economy has significantly stabilized through the reform process of recent years. Turkey's GDP increased by 6% in 2006, reaching an average of 7% since 2002. Per capita income rose to almost 5,500 US dollars for the first time in 2006. 50% of Turkish exports go to the European Union, with Germany being the most important trading partner. German companies therefore hold a particularly strong market position. This workshop will provide concise information on market access conditions and market opportunities. Entrepreneurs will share their experiences, and Turkey experts will be available to answer questions. The detailed program can be found on the back of this letter.
