Expert Lecture "Impacts of the New Turkish Commercial Code"

Expert Lecture by Attorney Cüneyt Gençer at the Nuremberg Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) for Middle Franconia on July 17, 2012, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM

The Turkish Parliament voted on a new Commercial Code on February 1, 2012, which replaced the current version, over 50 years old, on July 1, 2012. This extensive reform includes more than 1,500 articles and covers topics ranging from the electronic commercial register to public limited companies.

Further Opening to International Economic and Trade Relations

With this legal reform, Turkey aims to open itself to international economic and
trade relations and strengthen the global competitiveness of its domestic
companies.
